We'd love to hear from you if you've stayed at Cortijo Jacaranda, so please leave your feedback below.

Many thanks in advance.

Lorna & Lee

Absolutely lovely accommodation. The casita itself is immaculate, with all rooms being extremely clean and tidy. The facilities are second to none and the bathroom/shower is pristine. The location is remote, peaceful, quiet together with stunning scenery and views. An ideal base for anyone interested in touring the Andalusian region. Lorna and Lee are lovely people and are very kind and helpful. Faultless. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Lorna's place for 5 nights and wish we could have stayed for longer. The scenery and silence of the countryside and mountains was beautiful. The house was very well equipped and very clean. Pool was perfect for us and the kids. Perfect for lazing about on those hot days!!!! 5 stars!!

This is what dreams are made of! A picture perfect little house in the mountains with spectacular views, and ultimate peace and quiet. The house is very clean, and fully equipped with everything you could want. The pool is regularly cleaned by Lorna, everything is exceptionally well maintained. Lorna is the perfect host - she met us late at night to ensure we could follow her up to the house from the main road (about a 15 minute drive up a mountain track which we would never have been able to navigate in the dark without her!). Her communication about everything was super fast, she was amazing at helping us out with anything we needed, gave us brilliant suggestions about what to do in the local area. She had asked before I arrived how old my kids were and had provided everything I might need for them too. She struck the absolute perfect balance as a host between being around for us, but also giving us out privacy. We really couldn’t have asked for more in terms of host, accommodation or location. Absolutely 100% recommend and will return!! Nearest town with supermarket and cafes and restaurants is 15-20 minute drive which is perfect if you like to feel away from it all, but also like easy access to a small town. Can’t fault it!

Beautiful setting, with countryside views all around and often a very welcome breeze. The villa is equipped with absolutely everything you need and was fantastically clean. The pool is gorgeous and perfect for young children to spend the day. Lorna is a wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble and her paella is amazing! We travelled with family who stayed in the opposite villa - it provided privacy as well as plenty of shared family time. It really is the most idyllic and relaxing setting for a peaceful holiday.

Just back home from a wonderful 2 week stay at Cortijo Jacaranda/Casita Rosa. This was our third trip here and our first with my sister and family who were staying in Casita Mimosa. The children (aged 12, 11, 10 and 9) didn't seem to leave the fabulous pool which allowed for plenty of relaxation for the adults. The casitas are spotless on arrival and Lorna supplies a lovely welcome pack of food/drinks. We enjoyed plenty of excellent tapas restaurants (Estacion de Cartama, Alora) and delicious local ice creams; the paella evening by the pool (cooked by Lorna and Lee) was also really special.
Much time can be spent in and out of the pool, reading books, playing chess, doing yoga and snoozing...must-see places are the Alhambra (Granada), the lakes north of El Chorro, Malaga (old town/cathedral, port and locals beach) and Ronda. I also recommend a treatment with Lorna - this time a pedicure; previous visits I've enjoyed a super facial.
Lorna and Lee are perfect hosts - always on hand if needed but leaving you to enjoy tranquillity (if possible with 4 active children!) and privacy.
A final recommendation is to hire a car that can cope with steep ascents as the 10-15min drive to the casita from the main road is mostly a hilly dirt track. Well worth the bumpy ride though!

I would just like to say thank you for a lovely relaxing week away, everything we could of hope for and more, the serenity and tranquility is perfect. Our Stay was a joint holiday with our friends. Our children, loved the swimming pool and play area, every thing you need supplied. The directions given from the airport where spot on and on arrival a cold beer was a good welcome. Thank you again and look forward to seeing you again next year. The Romain family

"We had a lovely week in October. The casita was comfortable and well equipped with lots of things for our two children. The pool was spotless and the play area and sandpit brilliant. And the surrounding countryside and views simply breathtaking. Lee and Lorna are very helpful and approachable, and the paella night is a must! The babysitting was also so appreciated, enabling us to have a wonderful meal out in the local town. We look forward to a return visit."

This is an ideal location if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday with or without the children. The views are stunning and the casitas are very clean and well equipped. You will need to hire a car as its a ten minute drive from the main roads.
The owners Lee and Lorna are lovely people who will do their upmost to help you have a fantastic time. Alora is the nearest town. Nice restaurants and a supermarket with lots of fresh vegetables and seafood.

Another fabulous two weeks at Cortijo Jacaranda. So relaxing and perfect for small kids. Booked for next year before we left! Lorna and her family are absolutely lovely (and kind and patient!) and the setting couldn't be more ideal if you are looking for a peaceful holiday (even!) with kids.

Amazing gorgeous holiday in Andalusian hills! Perfectly clean and equipped casita beside an equally clean swimming pool with amazing 360' views! Lee & Lorna make your stay so special and can't do enough for you! Please don't book this as I so so want to return next year! Incredible, beautiful location for all sunseekers away from the tourists but also within reach of local bars and restaurants! Loved it and thank you!

Wow, what can I say. Just had an amazing week staying at Cortijo Jacaranda. Lee and Lorna couldn't have been more accommodating. The Cassita was immaculate and very comfortable, had everything I needed and more!
Such a peaceful location with easy access (by car) to the local towns. Went to a great Tapas restaurant recommended by Lorna nearby and did not disappoint. However, I highly recommend the paella night as cooked by Lee, absolutely delicious.
I cannot rave about this accommodation enough, so much so that I've already booked to return next year. I loved it.
Great location, great accommodation, great facilities and lovely couple. What more can you want for a holiday.
Thank you Lee and Lorna. See you next year!

It is a rarity to achieve, but I have just managed to have a lovely relaxing holiday with my four very young children at Cortijo Jacaranda. The setting is stunning, the Casitas are lovely and have everything you could possibly need, even for young children, the pool is the cleanest private pool I've ever seen and the perfect temp. The little ones could all stand up in the little pool and the big pool was deep enough for adults to dive into. Just perfect. Highly recommended, we have been home for a week and have already booked again for next year! Ps Lorna is lovely and a great host :)

"We had a lovely stay in Mimosa cottage for a week in August. The cottages are compact but pretty and immaculate throughout. Very well equipped with thoughtful things like board games and books. The kitchen had everything you needed and the gas bbq was brilliant and made catering easy. The pool was designed perfectly for a 3 year old and 7 year old swimming ability. The children also loved the play equipment and the resident donkeys. The location in up in the hills so a 15 minute drive to the nearest town but once down there is lots to do in the area. Peaceful and relaxed - we loved it."

"The most relaxing holiday I've had for a long time- I didn't want to leave. To be able to cook whilst watching the kids in the pool is amazing. So clean, with everything you need. We love the seclusion whilst only being 30min from Malaga. Some lovely local towns and things to do. The lakes were great. Great hills for running, stunning views and a brilliant pool and kids area. Lorna and lee were very helpful but gave us our space. We recommend going to the market before the supermarket for amazing local veg. I've never gone back to a holiday cottage twice but this one I just might! "

"Cortijo Jacaranda and the charming Casita Mimosa where we stayed was just perfect for us and our little boy of 5. The place itself was immaculately kept, a gorgeous pool and individual BBQ areas plus the giant chess board made it easy to just laze around happily enjoying the tranquility and wonderful views. Lorna and Lee and family were really accommodating and helpful plus the night off that we had in the local restaurant while Lorna babysat was a real bonus. Lots to do in the local area but essential to drive. Had a brilliant time would thoroughly recommend. "

We had a lovely stay at Cortijo Jacaranda - it was very relaxing and nicely away from the hustle and bustle of Malaga and the coast (but not so far you cannot sample it easily). Our young daughter loved the pool and the swings/slides/sandpit.

They had everything we needed for our young family so we could travel light. Lorna and Lee were very welcoming (even when our flight was delayed until late in the evening). They also gave us a welcome night off cooking too and whipped up a lovely paella and cheesecake feast for us.

Great for a relaxing break in gorgeous surrounds.

This was our second visit to Cortijo Jacaranda and, although it didn't seem possible, it was even better than our first.
Lorna and her family could not have been more welcoming. The casita was immaculate and provided the perfect balance of practicality and comfort. Ideally positioned, it offers panoramic views of the stunning Andalucían countryside and is literally a few yards from the pool.
We combined relaxing days lounging by the pool with trips to the El Chorro gorge and the astonishing town of Ronda. Nearby Alora has a number of restaurants including the excellent Sol del Rio, however one of the best meals we had was cooked by Lorna herself.
We enjoyed a fantastic holiday, that was enhanced by having the charming Limb family occupy the second casita. We will certainly be back.

This was the fourth time we have stayed at Cortijo Jacaranda and it will definitely NOT be the last. The location is superb and very relaxing. The Casita's are well equipped and are always clean and tidy on arrival. The pool is lovely and well maintained and there are plenty of sunbeds etc. Lorna (the manager) is very friendly and always on hand to help with any questions you might have. I would thoroughly recommend Cortijo Jacaranda as a holiday destination.

We really needed to stay at Cotijio Jacaranda - but so does everybody! What Lorna and family have created is a perfect blend of relaxed Andalusian peace and quiet combined with a clear and complete understanding of what families actually need on holiday - particularly those with small children. The place is - in a word....perfect!

The views across the mountains were spectacular, especially the sunsets. There was so much space for the children to play, including the pool and their own play area, so they all had a great time.
The hosts were very welcoming and always willing to provide advise and help. This was the second time we've been now and will definitely be returning again.

Our family stayed in May and booked both casita's for our group.
The casitas were clean, spacious and had the facilities we were looking for as an extended family with young children. Lorna our host also supplied bed guards, toys and books for the children. The play park was used daily and the girls (who are not water babies) had dips in the separate paddle area within the pool.
I had the opportunity to have a couple of pamper sessions which I can recommend to chill out completely and look glamourous - would be great for location for a girls chillax getaway.
I would however recommend that you hire a car to get the most from this location since we went out most days to explore the lakes and the beaches.
It is situated within glourious surroundings with wonderful unspoilt views of Olive groves and mountains.
We will be returning.

"A very special place to rest and relax with wonderful scenery all around you. Very caring owners who are happy to tell you more about their area. Day trips to Malaga, El Chorro, Ronda and the Andalucian lake district from here with spectacular drives. We only had 4 nights - not long enough !"
